Here is a short tutorial I recorded for Unfold 3D, a UV tool I have been using more and more in my workflow. It gets the job done really fast, which is great because it gives me more time to design, model and sculpt.

Create and design any 3D form you can imagine, and unencumber your creativity. Polysculpting is the strategic workflow for creating 3D models by using a hybrid of polygonal modeling and digital sculpting. Learn the foundations of creating characters, vehicles, weapons, armor, sets and environments by starting with the alpha mesh and developing it into spectacular 3D sculpts used in today’s hottest games, films, TV and advertising. In this course, you will learn to develop your model form a basic polygonal mesh to a detailed multimillion polygon digital sculpture, and understand the techniques and workflow for trouble free progression of your model through all the stages of development. We will explore modeling methods ranging from basic edge or box modeling to advanced techniques like kit bashing, and modeling with Zspheres and Dynamesh.

This course requires basic knowledge of a 3D modeling application such as Maya, 3ds Max, Modo etc. It also requires a basic knowledge of a digital sculpting application such as ZBrush.

This workshop is non-software specific - the techniques taught are applicable to all of the relevant software.
